By day Anara Bella is a mild-mannered writer pounding out stories on her trusty keyboard. But by night she’s the Domestic Avenger—able to leap humungous dust balls in a single bound, ignore dirt and clutter with the utmost of ease, stop imminent starvation by whipping up meals from nearly-bare cupboards in the blink of an eye. Okay, so those aren’t really super powers but they’re definitely helpful abilities. Especially when she’s trying to eek out the time to write the next few words on her latest story. The truth is, Anara never thought of herself as a writer until almost nine years ago. In fact, it hadn’t even crossed her mind to write a book. She’d been too busy avidly reading any romance she could get her hands on. That is until a friend suggested she try her hand at writing a romance instead. Rising to the challenge, she did just that, only to discover to her utter astonishment that she actually loved writing even more than reading. She’s been working away at it ever since. In 2004 she won Lori Foster’s Brava Novella Contest which started her on her exciting journey towards publication. Her first book, Ready or Not, is based on her winning entry from that contest. All her books, including Ready or Not, Brazen or Bust, Batteries Not Required and The Trouble with Curses are currently available from Samhain Publishing. To learn more about Anara, check out her MySpace and Facebook pages or follow her on Twitter.
